The Santos Family, on staff with Youth With a Mission, serves immigrants and refugees in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Sao Paulo, Brazil is the fifth largest city in the world and is getting bigger and bigger. Like all large cities, it has significant problems. But big problems provide ministry opportunities. The Lord has brought people from all parts of the globe to Sao Paulo. Known as the “Diaspora Community,” these immigrants are settling into poor ethnic communities throughout the city called “favelas” and often feel a bit lost.

Mobilize and Train people to engage with the Diaspora Community
Create a “YWAM House” to enfold people and minister to their spiritual and physical needs and provide a safe environment
Establish ministry centers within these poor communities that will minister locally and focus on local problems
Train new believers from within these communities to reach their own people
